Fiona’s Nordic walking sessions are always enjoyable. The group is friendly and welcoming, with all levels of fitness and experience well catered for.
Fiona is an excellent coach. She modifies activities to suit the individual, whether that means to facilitate participation for everyone or to challenge, as appropriate. The focus of sessions is varied, as is the route – sessions are never dull!
Her instructions are clear and feedback helpful. Fiona keeps everyone on track with her supportive, positive approach. She has a great sense of humour (which she certainly needs with us!) and always ensures that all participants are fully included.
What we learn carries over into everyday physical tasks, making classes beneficial in a practical way as well as simply being good fun!

Great Nordic walking session this morning at Eglinton Park. Felt really invigorated by the end. Great muscle and cardio workout. Lots of calories burned. This beats going to the gym – can’t wait for next week. Fiona’s superb instruction really gets you hooked.

Fiona is an amazing Nordic walking Instructor. She encourages you to develop your Nordic walking skills gradually. She introduces new techniques at a steady pace allowing you to master the basics before moving onto more complex activities. She also has a “good eye” for judging each individual’s physical ability and will ensure that each session is challenging and enjoyable at the same time.

I have already recommended Fiona’s classes to many running friends, some of whom have come along and thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.  But whether you are a fitness junkie who is looking for a source of additional cross training or are just getting started on a fitness regime I would urge you to give this a go. It is a fun way to get started on your fitness journey in general and Nordic Walking in particular and you would be made every bit as welcome as I was.

George and I just wanted to say thanks for all your patience, help and encouragement introducing us to Nordic Walking. We really get a lot out of the classes with all your skill introducing exercises to help and make sure we stretch safely.  I no longer get a sore lower back walking uphill thanks to improving my technique and George feels his posture is improving. It’s been a revelation. So good to get outside and get some fresh air too !
