Nordic Nights - Whitehirst
Full Walk Description
This is a winter evening walk to encourage you to keep active in the safety of a group during the dark winter nights.
This walk is mainly on lit streets. Surfaces are mainly tarmac and flat with one moderate incline. Head torches and hi-vis clothing are recommended.
The exact route will be weather dependent and subject to last minute cancellations during the winter evenings.
Sessions begin with a warm up walk and stretch followed by an increase in intensity to get pulses raising.
It’s not just about the walking either as the sessions incorporate functional exercises (exercises that mimic daily activities and help to keep you strong and safe during these activities), which can be modified to suit each client at an individual level. Using body weight, poles and bands these sessions offer variety and challenging addition to the walks.
